Privacy policy - HAM Radio Exam Prep

This app helps you study for the FCC Amateur Radio Technician license exam. This policy explains what data the app handles and why.
The short version
The app has no accounts, no sign-in, and no server of its own. Everything you do in the app - your answers, exam scores, bookmarks and settings - stays on your device. The only data that leaves your device is what Google's ad service collects to show ads, and you can remove ads entirely with a one-time purchase.
Data stored on your device
Your study progress (answers, exam history, bookmarks) and your settings (theme, purchase status) are stored in the app's private storage on your device. We cannot see this data. It is deleted when you uninstall the app, and you can clear it any time with Settings → Reset progress.
Data collected by ads
The free version shows ads from Google AdMob. The Google Mobile Ads SDK collects and shares with Google:
- Advertising ID and App Set ID - device identifiers used for advertising
- IP address - which gives an approximate location
- App interactions - ad views and taps, app launches
- Diagnostics - crash and performance information such as launch time
This data is used for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention. It is encrypted in transit. For how Google uses it, see Google's privacy policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
US state privacy laws. This app enables Google's Restricted Data Processing on every ad request, for all users and not only those in US states with applicable privacy laws. This limits how Google processes personal information for advertising, and the ads you see are not personalized.
You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings under Settings → Google → Ads.
If you buy "Remove ads", the app stops loading ads and the ads SDK no longer collects this data.
Purchases
The one-time "Remove ads" purchase is processed by Google Play. We never see or store your payment details. The app only records that the purchase was made, on your device.
Data we do not collect
We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, precise location or any other personal information. The app requests no runtime permissions.
Children
This app is intended for people aged 13 and over. It is not directed at children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address and the date above will be updated.
